Terhills continues to surprise with new, unique ways to experience nature. From now on, visitors can enjoy a brand-new cycling and walking route across the floating bridge, located between the iconic mine railings. This impressive pontoon bridge offers 360° views of the stunning landscape, with water and greenery stretching from shore to shore.

Sustainable enjoyment of the landscape

The floating bridge, which has a length of no less than 380 metres, connects the panorama ridge with the twin ridge and invites cyclists and walkers to explore the Terhills area in an unseen way. This spectacular structure was designed with respect for nature and is fully integrated into the landscape. The transparent balustrades make the bridge appear almost invisible from the shore, fully preserving the natural splendour of the area.

An iconic experience

What makes the bridge special is its unique shape: the undulating pontoons lead you out onto the water as if by themselves, treating you to a panoramic view in the middle of the lake. Materials and shapes were chosen with the utmost care to create a seamless, organic experience, giving visitors the feeling of literally floating over the water.

Plan your visit

Located between cycle junctions 565 and 502, the floating bridge is accessible to both cyclists and walkers. Want to explore the bridge on foot? Then visit the National Park Visitor Centre for a handy flyer with hiking routes.
